What is QRS Fire Sleeve?
The Quelfire QRS consists of a pressed steel shell containing graphite-based intumescent material.
During a fire, the intumescent material expands as the plastic ventilation duct softens, helping close the opening and maintain the fire compartment.
Rectangular and Circular QRS Fire Sleeves
Quelfire manufactures QRS sleeves for different ventilation duct sizes and configurations, including rectangular and circular products.
A slim QRS version is also vailable for appropriate applicatons.
QRS sleeves can be retrofitted around existing ducts and can be used with the QuelStop Fire Batt system where covered by the relevent tested detail.
QRS Fire Rating
Quelfire QRS Fire Sleeves have been tested to BS EN 1366-3 and classified according to EN 13501-2.
Specific configurations provide fire resistance up to two hours.
Because performance depends upon the duct and construction, always check the tested scope before specifying or installing the product.
