What is a Quelfire QWW Intuwrap?
QWW Intuwrap consists of grapite-based intumescent material within a polythese cover.
When exposed to heat, the intumescent material expands as the plasic pipe soften, creating an insulating char which helps close the penetration and prevent fire spreading into the adjoining compartment.
QWW Intuwrap Sizes
Quelfire manufactures QWW Intuwraps to suit a range of outside pipe diameters from 21mm to 160mm.
Available sizes include:
32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 55mm, 63mm, 75mm, 82mm, 90mm, 110mm, 125mm, 160mm.
The appropriate wrap is selected according to the outside diameter of the pipe and the relevent tested detail.
Quelfire QWW Applications
QWW Intuwrap is suitable for specified plastic pipe applications and is compatable with the Quelfire QuelStop system.
it can be used with Quelfire QF2 Fire Protection Compound in appropriate tested configurations.
Quelfire states that QWW is tested to BS EN 1366-3 and classified according to EN 13501-2, with specific configurations achieving up to four hours fire resistance.
